Welcome!

A warm welcome to my online book club! My name is Nita Steiner, and I am your host for this online sharing of books. (For more about who I am, see the short biographical blurb posted on this site.) My desire is to share some good books with you, not only for the sake of enjoying some good or interesting topics but also to grow together in the intimate knowing of the Lord God in His Son, Jesus Christ. With this in mind, I’d like to present some core desires that I have for this experience together:

  • To make discoveries together about the Lord that will begin to fascinate our hearts and awaken a greater hunger for Him.
  • As we grow in knowing Him together, to understand who we are in Him and the dignity and nobility of our humanness in Him, as well as to accept and embrace with joy the limitations of our humanity.
  • To experience His life in such a way that there will be ongoing healing happening in our hearts that will honor Him and help others towards the fullness of life in Him.

In light of this, I will select books that I believe will help us in these ways. We will reflect on a certain number of chapters a week, depending on the book; I will post my reflections each Friday on the assigned chapters and you will have the week to add your reflections. There will be times as well when I’ll lay aside the books and share simple thoughts from my heart and mind.

  1. I like your site. Did you know there's some awesome books available for free from Bibles for America?

I think you would really like the Glorious Church by Nee and The All-Inclusive Christ by Witness Lee. That last one sounds similar to "Jesus Our All in All." They've got a few more titles too. Plus your readers can get them for free. Anyway, praise the Lord!

  2. We must take care of Nita, I will not allow any of my mother teresa's to be forgotten by the church, as scripture says, take care of widow and orphan. Elijah cared for the older women of God, and so should all of us. Mother teresa always had the help of her church. -Saint Nate Love
